“Zines” (pronounced like “magazine”) are self-published creations that anyone can make – sometimes print, sometimes digital. This panel will be an introduction to the world of DIY zines. There will be a showcase of physical and digital zines, some resources and tools, and possibly a short demonstration.

SUPER HERO TIME!: AN INTRODUCTION TO TOKUSATSU
This panel will include an overview of tokusatsu and its major franchises (including Super Sentai, Kamen Rider, and Ultraman). We’ll also uncover some beloved hidden gems such as Dogengers: a show starring Real-Life Local Heroes!

Do you like mad science? Do you like mixing fun drinks and mocktails? Do you like The Last Unicorn? Our (not-professionally trained) mixologist has come up with a set of The Last Unicorn cocktails for us to make together! Prepare to be entertained and tipsy! In preparation for the panel, we have provided a list of ingredients you will need. Most of these should be easy to find at your local grocery or liquor store. NB: No need to have seen The Last Unicorn (but you should, it’s great!) and no worries if you don’t drink, we have mocktails!

I’ll also show you some of my favourite combinations for tea to go, perfect for packing in your favourite bento box!

SO YOUR KID WANTS TO COSPLAY
We’re kids educators who teach cosplay skills to kids. We can teach you how to teach your kid some 101 skills while learning yourself. We’ll touch on what materials to use and avoid, how to keep them motivated, how to manage the project and not ending up doing the whole costume yourself the night before.
